Nominated by

Katharine Nimmert (treasurer EKMTA)

Dear Kimberely Arts Members,

I am very happy to recommend Kate McInnes for the prestigious Don Davies Award.

Kate has been studying the piano since age 4.  Kate began her musical studies with Music for young Children.  At this time Kate is preparing for her Level 9 Exam in June.  Kate had a few setbacks last year.  While skiing, Kate broke her arm.  For many this would put piano and other activities on hold.  Kate persevered through her injury.

Besides piano, Kate is a competitive dancer with KCA under the leadership of Leslie Lindburg.  Kate  is in Grade 11 at Mount Baker. She maintains an honor role standing in her present grade.

She is an avid drama student.  Last fall she had a role in the Odd Couple, this season she is taking part in the Legally blonde  musical.

Kate is hard working, organized and very goal oriented.  Kate has true Grit.  no matter  the obstacle she pushes through.

Thank you for considering Kate McInnes.
