C64 Festivals & Programs
Our staff and committees have worked hard to develop a number of festivals and programs for our community. We invite you to join us year-round for fine art exhibitions, live performances, events, and workshops.
The Kimberley Kaleidoscope Arts & Culture Festival is a one-week celebration in August that includes visual, performing and literary arts events.
Residents and visitors get the chance to see and participate in performances, exhibitions, demonstrations, and workshops in various artistic genres and activities. Local, regional, and touring artists can showcase their work, receive commission or instruction fees, or sell their artwork.
First Saturdays are FREE, monthly one-day-only festivals that run the first Saturday of every month from July to October. It is a celebration of local arts and culture, bringing together live music, local vendors, and activities for people of all ages in Kimberley's heart; the Platzl.
First Saturday was imagined and created in 2013 to support and bring local/regional artistic talent to the community.
Each month has a theme featuring family-friendly programs. We strive to provide diverse artistic talents and make our activities participatory whenever possible.
First Saturdays have grown into a mainstay of Kimberley's summer/fall seasons and works with many community partners to promote even more than Arts, Culture and Heritage, including such things as Nature Park hikes.
This program has been part of the Kimberley Arts Council-Centre 64 for over a decade. It consists of three or four Spring and Fall concerts, presenting jazz, blues and world music. Live@Studio64 has showcased local, national and international performers.
Live @C64 happens in the Spring and Fall of each year.
Every summer, from July to August, children use their creativity through different art techniques and media to express themselves in a safe space.
Each year the Kimberley Arts Council-Centre 64 looks for talented artists and instructors to unleash the artist in each kid.
We offer a wide range of workshops, including ceramics, theatre, visual arts, clay modelling, fashion and animation.
The Fibre Arts Guild meets every Wednesday from September to June at Centre 64 in the Makers’ Space from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm
We focus primarily on weaving and spinning but welcome everyone interested in fibre arts.
